Super Kids-Super Sharing

A huge thank you to everyone for your wonderful work to make Super Kids-Super Sharing a success. We collected nearly 33,000 items - thanks to your good efforts. Those items have already been distributed to pre-selected lower income schools and to organizations that work with kids in need, including the Colt's Books for Youth program and the Indianapolis Youth Education Town/John Boner Center.
Please thank your students, staff and families for their generosity and good work. It has been a pleasure working with everyone.
Best regards,
Susan Groh

Zionsville Community Schools Rank Among the Best in the State

Zionsville High School was one of only three high schools in the state with a student population exceeding 1700 to receive a Four Star designation from the Indiana Department of Education. The Four Star designation is based upon attendance rates, student achievement performance on the IStep + for 2010-2011. To earn the award, a school must be fully accredited, meet Annual Yearly Progress goals under No Child Left Behind, perform in the top 25% in the ISTEP + passing both the English/Language Arts and Math portions of the test, ISTEP+ Language Arts Proficiency TScore, and ISTEP+ Math Proficiency TScore.
Zionsville High School was not alone. Four other ZCS schools also achieved this honor.
Zionsville Middle School
Eagle Elementary School
Pleasant View Elementary School
Union Elementary School
Every year several Zionsville Schools are among those receiving the Four Star School status and once again, we are fortunate to have a number of our schools on the list.
If you are interested in learning more about Four Star Schools visit the Indiana Department of Education’s website.
