An Opportunity to Learn about Raising Our Kids in a Digital World:
What does it mean to grow up in a digital world? How do we leave a responsible footprint and stay safe in online social relationships? How can parents keep up with all the apps and sites their children use regularly which seem to change daily? And just what are kids doing with SnapChat, Instagram, and Ask.fm? ZCS is proud to announce this semester's Connected Communities series for parents, community members, and staff who want to learn and discuss issues surrounding this digital world we live in and what it means to raise citizens for it.
Our four part series kicks off on January 16th at Union Elementary (11750 East 300 South) from 7:00-8:00 p.m. with guest speaker Valerie Baten, founder of Online Architecture, presenting on the topic of Keeping Our Kids Safe Online. All are welcome and there is no cost for attending the first program thanks to the generous sponsorship of the Union Elementary PTO as a service to our community.
