The PSAT test is administered to all freshmen, sophomores, and juniors in mid-October each year.  The PSAT provides students an opportunity to practice and experience a college admissions exam.  The PSAT taken during the junior year also serves as the National Merit Scholarship Qualifying test.

Students are encouraged to begin taking the SAT and/or the ACT college entrance exams starting in the spring semester of their junior year.  Many students take the SAT and/or ACT two or more times because they often improve their scores.  Seniors wishing to improve their SAT and/or ACT scores can often retest in September or October and still meet many college application deadlines.
